A large iron casting has been stolen from a Highlands monument.
Police are investigating after the heavy brown coloured cast iron object was removed from the Clachtoll Broch in Assynt.
It was last confirmed to be at the Broch in late September last year and was not discovered missing until August 28.
The casting looks like a door lintel and was described as being heavy.
It would require two people to carry it.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have information regarding the theft.
PC Donald Morrison, of Lochinver Police Station said “I would urge anyone who has information regarding this theft to contact Police on 101, quoting incident number NE/3436/20 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
