A Skye woman was almost twice the drinks drive limit when she was stopped behind the wheel fully 12 hours after her last drink.
Teleri Anne Wilkinson, 46, of the Old Manse, Kilmore, Teangue admitted at Portree Sheriff Court drinks driving at Broadford on May 16.
She was fined £400 and banned from the roads for a year with the option of doing a drink -drive rehabilitation course which would knock three months off her ban.
Defence lawyer Hamish Melrose said Wilkinson was at home drinking into the early hours and thought she would be free of alcohol by the next afternoon.
Said Sheriff Richard Davidson: “The law takes a dim view of drinks driving but you have been a respectable citizen up until now and I will take that into account in sentencing you.”
