Emergency services were called to the incident on the A9 Inverness to Thurso road at Hoy around 2.30am. The woman was taken to the Caithness General Hospital following the single vehicle crash involving a black Hyundai 130. Police were unable to provide details of the extent of her injuries. Two fire crews from Thurso were in attendance, however, were only required to make the scene safe. The road was cleared by 4.35am.
