The Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team (CMRT) were called out today to help after the person suffered a lower leg injury.
The casualty’s family called the police for help when they were struck down and the mountain rescue team was dispatched.
An accurate grid reference was given by the family, leading to them being found easily.
The injured person was evacuated by ATV along the Speyside Way towards Aviemore to a waiting ambulance.
In a statement on social media, the CMRT said the casualty and their family “did all the right things.”
They added: “We rely on public donations to fund the work that we do, if you would like to contribute, you can also go to our Facebook page or website – https://cmrt.org.uk”
