Emergency services were called to Baron Taylor’s Street at about 6.30am. Police closed off the road while the fire crews worked. Three appliances attended the incident and spent about an hour and a half battling the blaze. A stop message was received at just after 8am. A fire spokesman said: “Crews arrived on scene at 6.31am and used hose reel jets and breathing apparatuses.” Nobody was injured in the incident, with the ambulance service also in attendance. The road was shut for just over an hour. A police spokeswoman confirmed that officers were investigating the cause of the fire.
