Officers in Fort William are keen to speak to witnesses after a 14-year-old girl was struck by a van.
The girl was walking on Lundavra Road on Tuesday at around 6.15pm when the incident occurred.
She was taken to the Belford Hospital and before she was transferred to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, where she is in stable condition.
The 47-year-old male driver of the white Citroen van not injured.
Sergeant Ewan Calder, from the road policing unit, said: “We are working to establish the full circumstances of this incident and would urge anyone with information who hasn’t already spoken to an officer to get in touch.
“We would be particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have private CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident.”
