A German tourist has been named as the victim of a horror car crash in the Highlands.
Melina Rosa Päprer, from Luneberg, was the front-seat passenger of the blue Citroen C3 when it collided with a grey Honda CRV on Monday.
The 24-year-old, who was travelling north along the A82 Inverness to Fort William road when the accident happened near Borlum Farm, Drumnadrochit, died at the scene.
Her family has been made aware.
The 27-year-old male driver of the Citroen C3 remains in a serious but stable condition at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
A 56-year-old woman, who was driving of the Honda CRV, is also at Raigmore Hospital in stable condition.
Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses and to anyone who may have dash-cam footage to come forward.
