The Highland Council is asking people in a north town to vote on the names of three new schools which are due to open in the area.
The ballot will take place next week and the schools will be open in Fort William in the next 18 months.
Upper Achintore Primary and Fort William Primary will amalgamate into the new school built on Lundavra Road, and a new Gaelic primary school will be built on Ardgour Road.
The new Joint Campus in Caol will provide a shared site for Caol Primary School and the new Roman Catholic school, which will replace the existing Lochyside and Fort William RC Primary Schools.
Pupils, staff, parents and the local community have been helping choose the names for the new schools and short lists of suggested names for each are now ready to go to ballot.
Votes will be cast on Tuesday, June 24 between 3.30pm and 5.30pm at Upper Achintore, Fort William, Fort William RC, and Lochyside RC primaries.
Norma Young, area education manager, said: “The names for the new schools will be announced before the end of this school term. This is an exciting time for the Fort William area, as the names chosen will begin to form the identity of each school.”
