Three appliances were needed to deal with the blaze within a semi-detached bungalow in Corrie Gardens in the Ross-shire village at 9.50pm. Two hose reel jets, a covering jet and a thermal imaging camera were all used to ensure the fire was fully extinguished. Two fire engines from Dingwall attended, along with one from Beauly. It is understood that no one was injured. A fire service spokeswoman said that a bedroom was totally destroyed, with smoke and heat damage to most of the rest of the house.
