The pair have been reported to the procurator fiscal for trying to use counterfeit notes to buy goods. The arrests come after police warned businesses in Inverness and Ross-shire to be vigilant after fake bank notes were reported to be in circulation. Officers are urging business owners to check the validity of any money given to them and to get in touch with them should they have any concerns.
