The lifeboat was tasked by Stornoway Coastguard at 1.37am to assist the 33ft vessel three miles West of Insh Island in the Firth of Lorne. At 2.10am the lifeboat was alongside the vessel and established a towline. The lifeboat then towed the fishing boat to Oban where she was safely berthed at the Railway Pier at 4.35am.
