Police were praised as the family of a man found dead in the sea off Sutherland paid tribute to him.
The body of Christopher Strange, 59, from Kendal was recovered in the water near Neave Island off Tongue earlier in the week after he had been reported as missing from his home in Kendal in his car.
Mr Strange’s body was found after a search by local coastguards and the Stornoway Coastguard helicopter on Tuesday morning.
A family statement issued through police said: “Chris’s family would like to thank the Kendal and Wick police for their phenomenal support and kindness throughout this tragic and harrowing time.
“They also send heartfelt thanks to all their extended family and friends for their love and support. Chris was very much loved and will be enormously missed.”
Police said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, but a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal as is routine.
