A team of Wick High School pupils have won an award for an app designed to help divide housework between family members.
The Caithness pupils travelled to London to pick up their prize in the national Apps for Good Awards.
The Wick High School students’ app, ‘Chore Attack’ won the productivity category after they succesfully pitched their idea to a team of industry experts.
Chore Attack is designed to help divide housework between family members or housemates so that everyone does their fair share of the chores.
The pupils will now work with a development agency to launch their app onto the market in January 2015, with the support of Apps for Good and their sponsors.
Katie Gunn, student, Wick High School, said: “When we found out that we won the productivity category we were really surprised and really happy.
“Now we’re really looking forward to working with development agency, Fuerte International to develop the Chore Attack app and seeing it launched on to the market.”
