The crew of the 38ft Eskimo called Stornoway Coastguard at 11.45am. A spokesman for the coastguard said: “Mallaig Lifeboat went to the scene. Unfortunately, when the lifeboat got there the yacht was hard aground. “They had to wait for the tide to come in so that they were able to get off. The lifeboat stood by with them.” The yacht was refloated by 5.30pm when it was escorted to Mallaig by the lifeboat.
