Drivers have been warned to approach the Skye Bridge with care this morning as high winds hit the area.
The A87 Bridge, between Kyle of Lochalsh and Kyleakin, remains open but Traffic Scotland advises drivers to use caution when crossing.
Winds are expected to have died down by this evening.
Traffic Scotland issued the following statement: “use caution crossing the A87 Skye Bridge due to high winds currently affecting driving conditions.”
The weather forecast for the region is: Dry at first this morning with good visibility. A short spell of rain will move southeast across all parts from late morning into this afternoon, heavy across the northwest. It will also be windy along the west coast with southwesterly gales developing too, so expect gusty crosswinds across the Skye Bridge. All parts then largely dry this evening and overnight.
