Hundreds of people packed the streets of the village in the Cairngorms to greet the baton. It took around 40 minutes for the parade to pass along the main street to cheers from the watching crowds. One of those carrying it was Paralympic gold medal-winning rower Dave Smith. He said it was a “huge honour” to take part. And shinty legend Ronald Ross, who played for Kingussie, also carried the baton.
