A police spokeswoman said the pair managed to get out of the vehicle and alert the fire service. The incident happened at Lettermore on the A828 South Ballachulish to Oban road at around 6.20pm on Saturday. The road was closed in both directions, with police directing traffic at the A82 junction for almost at hour while firefighters worked at the scene. A fire service spokeswoman said one appliance from Kinlochleven attended and the crew used two hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze. She added that no one was hurt, but the vehicle was left totally burnt out.
