The open canoe was found in a position between Insh Island and Kerrera Island near Oban. At 10.40am Oban Lifeboat was tasked by Stornoway Coastguard to assist with a search. The Lifeboat checked the coastline of Kerrera Island for anyone that might that might have lost the canoe. At 11.23am the lifeboat was stood down by the Coastguard after they received information about an open canoe missing from Seil Island.
