Image: Supplied Rubbish collections in parts of Easter Ross have been delayed after a fleet of the Highland Council’s bin lorries were vandalised. Police are now investigating damage to seven collection vehicles and a van at the local authority’s Alness depot last night. It is not known what the extent of the damage was but the vehicles were back on the road later in the day to complete their rounds. A council spokeswoman said: “Seven refuse collection vehicles and one van were vandalised in the Alness depot. “There was superficial damage to the vehicles – nothing that interfered with the working of the vehicles. “The routes affected were primarily in Invergordon and Alness.”
