Road closure in West Highlands

A Wester Ross has been closed to allow council workers to carry out emergency repairs.

The Letters to Loggie road, off the A835 Tore-Ullapool road, is now shut until 5pm tomorrow.

Torrential rain this week caused a landslip on the west side of Loch Broom.

A ramp will be constructed to provide access to excavator plant, which will divert a flow of water further up the hill.

Pedestrian access will be maintain and in the event of an emergency the access ramp will be removed to allow services along the road.
