A section of the A9 has reopened to traffic following a two-car collision at Tain.
The vehicles collided on the Inverness to Thurso trunk road at the junction for the B9174 at around round 12.35pm this afternoon.
Police closed the road in both directions to facilitate vehicle recovery before reopening to motorists at 1.50pm.
A police spokesman said: “Officers were called to the A9 at the junction for the B9174, Tain, at around 12.35pm on Thursday, May 20. following a two-car crash.
“The roadway was closed for recovery of the vehicles and reopened at 1.50pm.”
Three ambulance crews were also called to the scene to attend to injured parties.
No patients required hospital treatment.
An ambulance spokesman said: “We received a call at 12:32 to attend an incident on the A9 at the junction for the B9174, Tain.
“Three ambulances and a BASICS Scotland GP attended the scene where all patients were treated. No patients travelled to hospital.”
