Man falls at Wick Bay

Emergency services were called to Wick Bay yesterday afternoon after a man fell from rocks while taking photographs.

Shetland Coastguard and the Wick lifeboat were alerted to the incident at 2.30pm amid concerns about the incoming tide.

However, a coastguard spokesman confirmed that the injured man was able to climb to safety and walk to a waiting ambulance.

It is understood he suffered minor head injuries.
