A 61-year-old man was airlifted to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness following a one-vehicle collision in Main Street, Golspie, at 5.20am. He had initially been taken to Lawson Memorial Hospital in the town, before being taken to Raigmore with life-threatening injuries. The road is closed in both directions, with a diversion in place, although the alternative route is unsuitable for heavy goods vehicles. Anyone with information about the collision is urged to contact police on 101.
