North police were kept busy yesterday after a spate of accidents on the roads.
A van crashed at Berriedale Braes on the A9 Inverness-Thurso road and ended up lying on its side against a wall at 2.26pm.
Nobody was injured but a team from Bear Scotland were sent to the scene to tidy up debris from the accident.
Four people also escaped injury after an accident near Invermoriston yesterday morning.
Emergency services were called to a minor road between Invermoriston and Alltsigh after the car ended in a ditch just before 11am.
A police spokesman said that nobody had been injured in the one car accident but the car needed to be recovered from the ditch.
There was also a minor accident in Inverness after a car hit a wall in Mason Road.
Two vehicles were involved in the accident at 11.23am but nobody was injured.
And a female biker was taken to Raigmore Hospital after suffering an accident in the grounds of the Macdonald Highland Resort in Aviemore shortly after 4pm.
An ambulance spokeswoman said that her injuries were not believed to be serious.
It is thought the woman was in Aviemore ahead of the Thunder in the Glens event this weekend.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist involved in an accident on the A9 Inverness-Thurso road in Golspie remains in hospital in Inverness.
The biker was taken to Raigmore after suffering serious injuries in an accident early on Thursday morning.
The 61-year-old’s injuries were described as “life-threatening” and yesterday a police spokesman said there had been no change in his condition.
It is believed that the rider was travelling south on a John O’Groats to Land’s End challenge when his bike wheels slipped on a patch of diesel lying on the road.
