Police have asked the public for assistance in tracing a 24-year-old hillwalker who was last seen at the summit of Ben Nevis yesterday morning.
Sarah Buick, who is from Dundee, posted a picture of herself at the top of the mountain at 5am on Tuesday, and has not been seen or heard from since.
She walked to the summit from the Lower Falls area on the south side of Ben Nevis, but it is not known if she returned by the same route or went to a different location.
Sarah is around 5ft 3in tall, with a slim build and brown hair. When she went missing she was wearing a green jacket and had an orange rucksack.
Inspector Nick Hough of Fort William Police Office said: “As time goes on we are becoming increasingly concerned for Sarah.
“She is an experienced walker and often makes trips alone, but it is very unlike her to be out of contact with friends and family for this length of time.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Ben Nevis or Glen Nevis area over the last 36 hours and has seen anything which may help our searches to please get in touch.”
Anyone who saw Sarah yesterday or today is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 2741.
