A Ross-shire couple will host a golf tournament this Saturday to raise money for two autism charities close to their heart.
Donnie and Annalise Mackay from Invergordon will run the ‘Texas scramble-style’ event at the town’s golf club, along with a barbeque, bouncy castle and face painting.
The profits will be split between the National Autism Society and local group Friends of Autism Highland in Inverness.
To date the couple have already raised £1500 for the two charities.
The Mackay’s, who live in Queens Street, Invergordon, have a seven-year-old son called Logan, who has autism.
Mrs Mackay said: “This is our way of saying thanks for all the help we’ve received from both the National Autistic Society and the Friends of Autism Highland in Inverness. It’s made us feel like we’re not alone when it comes to helping Logan.”
Texas scramble involves each player in a team of four teeing off on every hole and the best ball is nominated. Each player then plays their second shot from this position and the pattern continues.
