Police appeal as man dies after collapse on Dornoch pavement

Police have issued an appeal for information after a man collapsed and died on a Highland road.
The tragedy occurred on the B9168 Poles Road, near Dornoch, on Saturday August 30 between 6pm and 6.45pm.
Following his collapse, passersby and paramedics attempted to resusitate the man, but were unsuccessful.
A police spokeswoman said: “A male collapsed on Poles Road, Dornoch but despite the efforts of passersby and Scottish Ambulance staff he died.
“Police in Dornoch are appealing for any person using the B9168 Poles Road between 6 and 6.45pm on August 30 who may have seen the male to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
