A motorcyclist was taken to hospital following a three vehicle crash on a Highland road this evening.
Emergency services rushed to the incident on the A86 Newtonmore to Fort William road, at the south end of Loch Laggan, shortly before 6pm.
Two cars and a motorcycle were involved in the incident. The motorcyclist was taken to Belford Hospital, Fort William.
An ambulance service spokeswoman said two ambulances and a doctor, who is specially trained to deal which life-threatening situations, attended the incident.
She was unable to give any information as to the nature of his injuries or his condition.
Both lanes on the Spean Bridge to Kingussie road between Roybridge and Laggan were restricted while emergency services were working at the scene.
Two fire crews were also called out – one each from Newtonmore and Kingussie.
A fire and rescue spokeswoman said: “All persons were out of the cars prior to arrival, the motorcyclist was transferred to hospital by ambulance.
“We just made the scene safe.”
The road was cleared by 9pm this evening.
