A Sutherland musician will play in an internationally acclaimed string quartet in Inverness later this month.
Cellist Rowena Calvert is part of the Cavaleri Quartet, which will play in Inverness Town House as part of the Inverness Chamber Music series on Wednesday, September 24.
The group also includes Irish violinist Ciaran McCabe, Australian violist Ann Beilby and leading violinist Martyn Jackson.
This year they came second at the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition and first at the 2012 Hamburg International Chamber Music Competition – both prestigious competitions.
The Inverness Chamber Music season is supported by Enterprise Music Scotland and Inverness Common Good Fund.
Tickets for the evening can be booked at www.invernesschambermusic.com or obtained from Eden Court Box Office.
Any remaining tickets will be available on the night from 7.00pm at Inverness Town House.
