A motorcyclist has died after colliding with a car in Glencoe.
The biker was killed after being in collision with a 4X4 on the A82 Glencoe-Bridge of Orchy road, near the Kings House Hotel today.
A female casualty was also airlifted to the Belford Hospital in Fort William after the accident but it was not said whether she was on the motorbike or in the other vehicle.
The road remained closed for several hours as road policing investigators examined the scene of the accident.
Last night police revealed that they are trying to trace the occupants of a white camper van which was in the area at the time of the collision.
Officers believe that the driver may have witnessed the incident.
Police have extended the appeal to anybody else who may have been on the busy road at the time of the incident to get in touch.
Traffic queued either side of the incident while police carried out their work.
Many motorists sought refuge in the nearby Kings House Hotel, while walkers from the close-by West Highland Way were also kept away from the scene by police.
