A motorcyclist who was killed after a collision with a 4X4 in Glencoe has been named by police.
Alasdair Knox, 45, from Tranent, was on the A82 Glencoe-Bridge of Orchy road, near the Kings House Hotel, when the smash took place at around 12.30pm on Monday.
Both occupants of the car were also hurt and taken to Belford Hospital in Fort William with non life-threatening injuries.
The road remained closed for several hours as road policing investigators examined the scene of the accident.
Police have appealed to anybody who may have been on the road at the time of the incident – in particular the occupants of a white camper van – to get in touch.
A spokesman said: “At about 12:33 on Monday, police received a report of a serious two vehicle road traffic collision on the A82 near Glencoe, involving a motorcycle and a 4×4 vehicle.
“Sadly, as a result of his injuries the motorcyclist died.”
