The motorcyclist who died in a crash near Glencoe has been named by police.
Alasdair Knox, 45, from Edinburgh, died as a result of the collision with a 4X4 vehicle on the A82 Glasgow to Inverness road on Monday, police said.
The crash took place on the Glencoe-Bridge of Orchy section of road, near the Kings House Hotel.
A police spokesman said: “At about 12.33pm on Monday September 15, Police Scotland received a report of a serious two vehicle road traffic collision on the A82 near Glencoe, involving a motorcycle and a 4X4 vehicle.
A woman who was in the 4X4 was airlifted to the Belford Hospital in Fort William after the accident.
Police are trying to trace the occupants of a white camper van which was in the area at the time of the collision.
Officers believe that the driver may have witnessed the incident.
Police have extended the appeal to anybody else who may have been on the busy road at the time of the incident to get in touch.
