A motorcyclist who was trapped under two vehicles following a crash on a north road last night is recovering from serious but not life threatening injuries.
The 35-year-old motorcyclist had to be freed from under the vehicles following the incident and was transported by air ambulance to Raigmore Hospital.
The van driver, who suffered ankle injuries in the collision, was taken by road ambulance to the hospital and released overnight.
An ambulance spokesman said: “The van driver sustained minor injuries and was released overnight. The motorcyclist was taken by air ambulance to Raigmore Hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.”
Fire crews from Fortrose, Dingwall, Inverness and Cromarty were all called to the scene yesterday following the crash.
They had to move the van and motorbike off the casualty before he went onto the air ambulance.
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
