Highland bus company axes late-night club runs after vomit and faeces found at weekend

A Highland bus company has axed its late-night runs to take clubbers home after the foul mess left by a few passengers at the weekend.
Aaron Wilson, who runs Aaron’s Coaches, was appalled at the condition of the interior of the bus after it took revellers back to Wick from Skinandi’s nightclub in Thurso early on Sunday.
He found piles of vomit while the single decker reeked of urine and also had human faeces below one of the seats.
Several interior lights were also broken and five curtains had been ripped down, damaging their supports.
“I’ve never seen anything like it before,” said Mr Wilson.
“My partner spent three-and-a-half hours cleaning it on Sunday afternoon.”
The bus had to be taken out of commission, meaning it was not available to do a scheduled run that day.
Mr Wilson, 27, started up the firm in 2017 and runs a fleet of 11 buses from a garage base in Thrumster.
Mr Wilson said: “I’m 100% certain that I won’t be running another bus to Skinandi’s after this.
He added: “If anyone responsible would like to come forward and pay towards the cleaning and repairs, they can do so but I won’t be holding my breath.”
