Oban woman Amunai Hobbs was still missing last night despite repeated police appeals for help from the public.
Police have launched a major search operation to try to trace 41-year-old Mrs Hobbs, who is also known as Amunai Nicholson.
Specialist search officers and the force helicopter have been deployed to try and trace her, so far without success.
Last night a police spokeswoman said: “She is still missing. There have been no further sightings.”
Mrs Hobbs is originally from Thailand but has lived in Oban for several years. She left her home last Wednesday and was due to travel to Thailand the following morning from Glasgow Airport.
She was seen in the airport in the early hours of Thursday morning but left to go to hospital after feeling unwell.
However, she left there at around 10.35am before receiving treatment.
She may have been seen between 11.30am and 12.30pm in Inchinnan Road around two miles from the hospital. It is thought she had changed her clothes but was not wearing s
She missed her flight to Bangkok and checks have shown that she has not tried to board later flights.
Police and family members are growing increasingly concerned for her wellbeing.
Police in Oban are involved in the search, liaising with friends and family.
Mrs Hobbs is described as slim, 4ft 10in with short black hair.
When last seen at the hospital she was wearing a beige fur coat, a purple dress with staining on the front, purple leggings and brown boots.
The witness from the later sighting said she was wearing a grey cardigan, black cropped leggings and possibly no shoes.
Paisley-based Inspector Gary Noonan said: “Searches are continuing using a number of resources including the force helicopter and specialist search officers, however we have yet to trace Amunai.
“This is a very distressing time for her family and friends and they are extremely concerned for her wellbeing and safety. It is out of character for her not to keep in contact with them.”
