Firefighters are currently battling to bring a house blaze in Rosemarkie under control.
Crews from Inverness and Fortrose were called to a property on Crawford Avenue following reports of a house fire.
Six fire appliances are at the scene battling to get the flames under control. They are using a main jet, breathing apparatus, and a thermal image camera.
Police and the ambulance service are also at the scene.
The fire appears to have destroyed the roof of the property and a police cordon is currently blocking off the street.
One local resident said he became aware of the incident when the fire appliances arrived at the scene.
He said: “I just stay up the hill but I didn’t see anything. I heard all the fire engines passing. There was about six or seven of them. I have no idea what’s happened at all.”
Another passing resident said: “Its horrible. I have never seen so many fire engines in one place.”
The alarm was raised shortly before 6pm this evening and police were called to the scene at around 7.30pm.
