The Highlands proved to be the perfect playground for David Beckham and his friends as they shot a 90-second commercial for his new whisky.
The soccer star and model teamed up with film director Guy Ritchie to shoot the ad in Glen Torridon, Loch Maree and Glen Affric.
The ad – called Welcome – is for Haig Club, Beckham’s latest foray into the luxury goods market.
It features Beckham and his crew making their individual journeys towards Glen Affric for a weekend gathering, with the footballer weaving through the glen on a vintage motorbike.
When they meet at their lodge, they raise a toast to the weekend with their dram.
Beckham said: “I love the tradition of toasting, it’s something I always do with friends and family.
“Working with Guy to bring this tradition to life in a new way has been so rewarding.
“Haig Club has always been about friends coming together and that’s what we wanted to reflect with the advert. It’s as simple as that.”
He has developed the brand with pop entrepreneur Simon Fuller, the creator of American Idol, for global drinks giant Diageo.
The advert will air for the first time on UK television tonight.
Guy Ritchie, who also makes a cameo in the advert, said: “This project had so many elements that I find appealing; it’s a film about good mates having an adventure and coming together for a celebration.
“It’s set in the Highlands of Scotland, one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited. David is a good friend and we had a lot of fun making this together.”
During the shoot, Beckham, Ritchie and their crew stayed at the Ledgowan Lodge Hotel, near Achnasheen.
