Concern is growing for a man from the north of England believed to be missing in the Highlands.
Police have reissued a lookout request for Mark Burgess, 58, who was in the Inverness area on Friday, October 17 and was heading for the Caithness area to visit John O’Groats.
He left his home area of Wakefield in Yorkshire last Wednesday and has since been reported missing.
He is thought to have been heading north to visit John O’Groats in his grey Toyota Yaris, registration YC13 ZJV.
He is described as white, 5ft 8in tall, thick set with sandy coloured hair.
Detective Inspector Steven Greenbank of Wakefield CID, said: “We are very concerned for Mark’s well-being and I would appeal to him or anyone who sees him to contact police on 101 as soon as possible.
“We know that he was north of Inverness on Friday, October 17 so are particularly appealing to anyone in that area to be on the look out for him.”
Inspector Paul Daley, investigating the case in the Highlands, added: “We understand Mark travelled to the Caithness area over the weekend and may still be in the Highlands.
“We would urge anyone who spotted Mark or his vehicle over the weekend or today to contact Police on 101.”
