Stormy weather: Dramatic pictures show landslides blocking A82

These dramatic pictures show why the busy A82 tourist route has been closed south of Fort William.

One image taken by wit near the Corran Ferry shows trees which has fallen across the both carriageways.

Water can also be seen cascading down from the adjacent hillside.

And in the second picture, a waterfall beside the road has overflowed and created a river several feet wide across the tarmac.

The route between Fort William and Glasgow remains shut after two landslides earlier.

The Met Office has issued an amber warning for Lochaber and the Great Glen until tomorrow.
