The A82 trunk road between Fort William and Ballachulish is to reopen at 3.30pm today.
A Bear Scotland spokeswoman said emergency teams had been working since first light to undertake safety inspections and clearance work to the route that was closed at lunchtime yesterday due to a number of flooding related incidents, including landslides.
Heavy rain continues in the area with amber weather warnings remaining in place until tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, Forestry Commission Scotland has been working to stabilise water courses, as well as undertake the removal of numerous trees that had become unstable as a result of the extreme conditions. Some of these trees were on very steep slopes.
It is hoped that these operations will be complete by later this afternoon allowing the route to reopen to traffic.
There will be temporary lights on the Corrycurrachan Bridge allowing traffic to cross it in single file.
There will also be temporary traffic lights at a section a mile south of the bridge at Glenrigh.
