Vandals have destroyed several distinctive trees in a garden in Caithness. They struck last week when they chopped down the Sitka spruce trees outside a house in the Brough area. They were left lying where they had been vandalised, with police last night appealing for witnesses. A spokesman said: “A Sitka spruce is evergreen and is similar to a Christmas tree. “The incident is thought to have happened sometime over the last week, and anyone with information should call 101.”
