The crash happened shortly before 3am this morning close to the Balgy Bridge on the A836 Shieldaig-Torridon road. The 53-year-old driver was taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness with head injuries. A police spokesman described the injuries as “serious but not life-threatening.” His passenger was uninjured.
