The incident happened at around 3.25pm on an unclassified road in Castletown near Thurso. He was taken by road ambulance to Caithness General Hospital with leg injuries. A police spokesman said that the man’s injuries did not appear to be “too severe”. An ambulance spokeswoman said: “We have taken a male patient to Caithness General with leg injuries.”
