The car came to rest in trees at the edge of the car park at Fort William’s Morrisons store. A police spokesman said the accident on the Inverness to Glasgow road happened on the An Aird roundabout in the Lochaber town soon after 10am. He said police, fire and ambulance services were called to the scene, but the woman driver was unhurt. A fire service spokeswoman said they received a report that someone was trapped in the car and two appliances from Fort William attended. She said: “The woman was out of the car by the time crews arrived. “They remained on scene to wait for the breakdown recovery vehicle.” And an ambulance spokeswoman said a crew attended but no one was taken to hospital.
