Parents who may be considering enrolling their children for the new Gaelic school in Lochaber are being invited to attend a presentation on bilingualism.
Highland Council’s Gaelic team has invited representatives of Edinburgh University’s centre of excellence on bilingualism, to give a presentation on the benefits of bilingualism for young children at Kilmallie Free Church in Caol, Fort William, on Saturday.
The free workshop, entitled “Growing up Bilingual is Good for You”, will start a noon.
The new Gaelic primary school, which is currently being built in Caol, is due to open in August of next year.
