Police in Highlands hunt for ‘unicycle thief’

A young boy was assaulted in Nairn by a thief who wanted to steal his unicycle.

The 11-year-old was attacked last Friday around 4pm at the junction between Waverley Road and Lodgehill Road in the town.

Police are hunting for the suspect who is believed to be in his early to mid teens.

The force said the suspect made an unsuccessful attempt to steal the youngster’s unicycle before running off in an unknown direction.

He is described as being around 5ft 5 with short dark hair.

He was wearing a blue top at the time of the assault.
