Gale force winds look set to cause havoc with traffic across the north of Scotland this week, with a number of ferry crossings already cancelled.
The Met Office today issued severe weather warnings for the Highlands and the CalMac ferry network will be disrupted by strong gales and gusts of up to 80mph from tonight through until Thursday.

A number of ferry crossings have been placed on amber alert while sailing from Lochmaddy is cancelled tomorrow due to the high winds.
As well as the Met Office’s warning of strong winds, SEPA has issued a flood alert for the Oban area with high waves and surges expected to cause coastal flooding expected from Tuesday – particularly at 7am and 8pm in Oban when the tide is high.
