Braemar to Cairnwell road closed due to snow

A highland road has been closed due to poor weather conditions.

The A93 Braemar to Cairnwell road was closed at 11.15am because of very poor visibility due to snow and high winds.

A police spokeswoman said: “The road was closed at 11.15am, and drivers are advised to handle these roads with care.

“All high roads should be avoided due to the current dangerous weather conditions”
