The man contacted emergency services after getting into difficulty while descending Cairngorm mountain. He walked through severe gales and waist deep snow drifts before walking into a stream while trying to navigate his way down the hill. A spokesman for Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team said that the man had been found a few hundred yards away from the Ciste car park at around 7.30pm. The walker, who is from England, was unhurt.
