Lochinver lifeboat comes to aid of stricken Spanish fisherman

A Spanish fishing vessel had to be assisted by the Lochinver lifeboat as it took to sea yesterday.
The boat – the Anchousa – experienced engine troubles and broke down as she was leaving Lochinver harbour at 7.50am.
The Lochinver lifeboat self-launched and went to the assistance of the vessel, which was then fixed and continued on its way.
A Stornoway Coastguard spokesman said: “It was a Spanish fishing vessel, the engine broke down. It was just off Lochinver on the way out, departing the harbour.”
